MYKOS is a fast-growing, beneficial fungus that increases nutrient and water uptake by forming a symbiotic relationship with the roots of a plant. MYKOS is needed to break down, cycle, and retain nutrients as well as provide a front line of defense against environmental stresses, pathogens, and diseases. MYKOS will continue to grow with your plants becoming an extension of the roots and administering better efficiency and sustainability. With a larger and healthier root system, plants are given the opportunity to increase crop yields and secondary metabolites.
MYKOS works fast and creates strong roots in 95% of common plants. MYKOS is a single species of Endo-mycorrhizal fungi, Rhizophagus intraradices, eliminating any type of root competition. Why only Endo-mycorrhizae?
Ecto-mycorrhizae has no beneficial effect on vegetables, fruits, flowers, and herbs.
MYKOS helps new plantings reduce transplant shock by stimulating new root growth. MYKOS forms hyphae that increase the root mass resulting in more absorption of nutrients and moisture. The fungal network can transport nutrients over large distances and deliver them directly into the root cell. Plants supply MYKOS with energy in the form of carbohydrates that are produced during photosynthesis. Individual plants can become connected with other plants through this mycorrhizal network, sharing nutrients, sugars, and water as well as attracting more soil microbes.
MYKOS protects your plants against drought & heat stress. As well as keeping harmful pathogens from making root contact. MYKOS can also improve the soil structure both in clay soil and sandy soil. MYKOS also helps break down organic compounds and convert them into plant available plant food.
